Imagining the cleaning services of the future through biomimicry

Exploring the potential of living organisms to reinvent cleaning machines and robots

Context

The GSF Group is the leading player in the industrial site cleaning industry in France and the first company in its sector to obtain triple QSE certification.

Bionnov intervened with GSF's innovation management to identify high value-added biomimetic innovation avenues to improve tomorrow's cleaning technologies, robots and services.

Goals
  • Target and prioritize innovation themes that can benefit from a biomimetic approach

  • Imagine disruptive pre-concepts to explore during PoC (Proof of Concept)

Key topics explored
  • Wash better and cleaner thanks to living organisms

  • Clean more sustainably (products, water consumption)

  • Automatically reach hard-to-access or dangerous places

  • Improving existing cleaning machines and robots

  • Improving the safety conditions of operators in the field
